Initial Certification Requirements
Passing Score: The Hawaii Department of Education (DOE) accepts a passing score of 80% on the STEDI SubSkills course.
Mandatory Coursework: A Hawaii DOE Module will be automatically added to your course list.
Compliance: By submitting your SubDiploma Certificate, you certify that you have successfully completed the SubSkills course, read and understood the Hawaii DOE Module, and agree to comply with all included guidelines.
Employment Disclaimer: Please note that successful completion of this training course does not guarantee employment as a substitute teacher with the Hawaii DOE.
Substitute Teacher Re-Certification Class I and Class II substitute teachers are required to recertify every five years from the expiration date of their initial certificate.
