this is my first year subbing - what is a substitute supposed to do over the summer? i'm taking a couple classes through my community college, but is there something else I should be doing besides enjoying my time off?

I always like to catch up on children't books. If you sub in middle school, pick up a few of the most recent releases so you know what the kids are talking about. It always make you more credible in the classroom. Good luck!

All the reading and vacation talk sounds great, but I needed to earn some money so I went to a temp agency and I'm working in an office. It's not great, but I'm keeping my typing skills honed, brushing up on business English, and I'm earning a decent salary. The worst thing about the situation is working until 6:00 p.m. I was exhausted the first week or so until I adjusted. I'm ready to go back into a classroom in September!

I want to get a job as a teacher in the summer school. Now I am a substitude teacher, working towards my certification.
How can I apply for a job for the summer?
