Hi, I am in a quandry. I have an injured shoulder from a school accident that prevents me from writing on the board as an LAUSD secondary sub. I want an aide or device to project writing or typing that is easily portable and does not require plug in to use. The district insists that is reasonable to do my job relying on student volunteers for writing lesson plans on the board. Sometimes this works well, sometimes not. I want opinions and strategies about how to set the focus and order that lesson plans on the board when the students arrive provides. I may ask for those of you with experience to provide some strategies to LAUSD or others involved in my shoulder injury progress. Thanks and all the best, Craig--a wounded bird.

You might try a large pad like the ones that are usually on a tripod for a class to see and read. Use the large pad flat on a table to write your lesson plans,then roll the page(s) or fold them and have a student hang them in each room you go to.

You could also purchase a poster size whiteboard (or go to home depot for some) and then you would have your own portable board. I used to do that when I was teaching and had to float room to room, my warm up activity was ready when I got there.
