I don't understand some of the logic behind the questions. for instance what does the procedueral rather than teaching expectations have on anything relating what is needed as a substitute teacher. The IDEA question is equally a trick question. It in my opoinion does not test subject matter. Likewise I for the life of me cannot distinquish what is the noncoersive appropriate response as all seem so similar. I have taken the test four times. It is incredible that the answers are so similar and no credit is given for answers that are just as appropriate as the right answers. I do not think that the test is in any way fair. I was told that nobody ever fails this test well the best I could do was 73%. I really am at a los to explain this as I have studied these materials for two days and took the test four times and cannot seem to get a better score.

I agree!

I agree completely! The info on the video that come w/ the cd DO NOT support the the main ideas in a manner that they are trying to get across. I've been a teacher for 6 years in another state and find this whole test to be silly because I'm looking at it from a teacher's perspective. By the way, it really depends how a teacher would handle a situation given a specific grade level. The test will never state what age the question is referring to!

This whole program is a total racket

I totally agree. I was soo confused on some of these questions. I noticed that some of the answers were right and you only got to choose ONE. It didnt make any sense.

I completely agree. Also, too many of the questions are poorly worded--some so poorly that I couldn't understand precisely what was being asked.

I agree each district is different and things are handled differently.

I agree with all of the complaints. The test uses poorly worded questions, multiple answers are sometimes correct but the test allows for only one, the results do not show the test taker what the correct answers are to missed questions, and finally, many of the strategies taught are not appropriate for high school students but the material does not differentiate or provide much for middle school and high school subs.

I have a college degree and pride myself on being really smart....these tests however make me feel differently about myself! Alot of the questions don't make any sense and there are 2 possible answers for some of them. I only have a 77 and I have to have an 80 in order to start subing for my district...this is crazy! All that this program teaches is common sense stuff, but yet the questions and answers make your head spin and you wind up getting the question wrong and doubting yourself. I am at lose and don't know what to do...

I have read these comments and I agree with the logic of the comments. These test questions are poorly written, cofusing, and tricky for no reason. The educational content is good, and insightful. However, the test questions need be less tricky and poorly worded.
