STEDI Assessment System

Evaluate the effectiveness of your school district's substitute teacher training. The following assessments, delivered via the new STEDI Assessment System, are based on the skills, principles and strategies taught in the Substitute Teacher Handbook.

SubManagers and district peronnel also have access to all assessment scores for substitute teachers within there district. Verify individual scores and compare your district's scores with other districts across the United States.

Assessments are provided with the purchase of the SubSkills Online Training or Substitute Teacher Handbooks. Districts can also purchase individual assessments for their substitute teachers. Please call for pricing information.

1) SubAssessment

After training a substitute teacher, this test determines how well a substitute teacher understands the concepts and principles taught in the Substitute Teacher Handbook or the STEDI Course online training system.

There are 5 tests within the SubAssessment. Each test can be taken separately and at different times. Each test can only be taken a maximum of 4 times.

After finishing the assessment, the substitute teacher is notified of questions that they missed. They can then study-up on those skills to improve their score. They can also print-out a SubDiploma showing their top score for each test and a composite score covering the entire assessment.

2) SubEvaluation

This test is designed as a monthly reevaluation of experienced substitute teachers. It is designed as a refresher for substitute teachers to remember principles and techniques that may not have been practiced often in the classroom.
